Search the catalog from your server
Call GET /v1/search with a search query and choose podcast or episode results. Use relevance ordering for discovery, or newest ordering when the date matters. Keep your server API key on your backend.
curl 'https://api.podnivo.com/v1/search?q=science&type=podcast&sort=relevance' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SERVER_API_KEY'Support the whole discovery flow
Use autocomplete suggestions while a listener types, then load a show's catalog record and episode list. Treat podcast and episode IDs as opaque strings rather than deriving them from titles or feed addresses.
Paginate without changing the cursor
The response's page.next value is the next request's after parameter. Pass it unchanged. Cursor pagination supports navigating larger results without inventing offsets in the client.
Keep your integration predictable
Monthly plans have explicit request quotas. Handle HTTP 429 and Retry-After, use bounded request timeouts, and keep publisher audio at its original URL. Catalog access does not transfer rights to publisher content.
Need subscriptions and playback sync too? Explore the podcast app backend API.

Read the authentication and API quickstart, inspect the interactive API reference, or compare request quotas and pricing. The Free plan includes 2,000 requests per month.
